Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Environment Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Unreal Engine 4 and a strong passion for creating compelling and visually stunning worlds. You will work closely with designers, programmers, and other artists to bring the vision of the game to life.

A portfolio is required to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high quality, immersive 3D environments in UE4 following the artistic vision

• Model, texture, and optimize environment assets, including terrain, architecture, props, and foliage, ensuring they are game-ready and meet performance standards.

• Collaborate with level designers to integrate environmental assets into levels, ensuring artistic consistency and gameplay functionality.

• Implement lighting, materials, and shaders in environments to achieve the desired atmosphere and mood.

• Collaborate to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to environments

• Actively participate in cross discipline feedback sessions.

Qualifications:

• Be available to work onsite in downtown Loveland, Co.

• 1-3 years professional experience as an Environment Artist or similar role in the video game industry.

• Professional experience with Unreal Engine 4

• Strong understanding of art principles including composition, lighting and color theory

• Experience with appropriate tools, modeling software and texture creation software.

• Ability to create assets appropriate for real-time, optimized performance.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional UE4 Technical Art skills and shader/material expertise

• Experience with version control systems

• Knowledge of animation, physics, and AI systems in UE4.

• Hundreds of hours played in the ARK or ATLAS IP

• Experience with the ARK or ATLAS DevKit
